The Pre-University Semester was designed for students from outside of the European Union who have finished high school and plan to apply to Higher Education in Portugal.

The objective is to help students in the process of adapting to the European teaching system. It aims to level the technical knowledge of candidates from different countries and provide the required language competencies (when needed) for students who wish to apply, in the future, for a bachelor at Nova School of Business and Economics.

How it Works

The Pre-University Semester can be started either in February or September and the requirements are as follows:

Language:

English (for students who do not have/show B2 level will have to take English classes)
Portuguese (for non-Portuguese/Lusophone students)
Math course

Courses offered by NovaSBE (the candidate only needs to take one course, however we recommend to take both):

Principles of Management
Principles of Microeconomics

The requirements to transition into the Bachelors at NovaSBE after the foundation semester are:

Pass the Mathematics course
Pass one of the courses offered by NovaSBE

FEES

Tuition fee: 2.700€ (Paid after visa approval and before classes start)

Enrollment fee:  300 € ( Paid upon acceptance – non-refundable)

Application fee: €70 (non-refundable)

 
 

WHAT DO I NEED TO DO?

The procedure to enroll is simple, these are the documents required:

  • Passport Photo
  • ID Card
  • CV in English
  • Transcript of grades with a full list of courses and corresponding grades of the last two years of secondary school
  • Motivation letter in English
  • English certificate
